I know it has been months since I had posted anything. It’s because I have been very busy, I gave birth a few months ago and am now a proud mother of a beautiful baby girl!
All the expenses that comes with bring a parent are just so astounding. It really makes me take an extra minute to rethink if I should still buy that “want and not need” item. As a result I’ve stopped hauling as many polishes and have already cancelled one beauty subscription. I even passed up the latest Rescue Beauty Lounge sale. The only thing I’ve been hauling as of late are diapers. Don’t get me wrong I still do treat myself to a new polish or lipstick when I want but it’s really been scaled back compared to last year.
Anyways it’s time to shop to stash! Stay tuned =D
I just realized that my post on the June GLOSSYBOX was missing from my blog. I distinctly remembered writing it, but do not see it on the blog or saved in my drafts or anything.
Anyways I had seen the promotional emails regarding this box and was quite looking forward to receiving it, however due to am issue with the Bondi Polish that was suppose to be included, shipments were delayed as they substituted it with the Tarte complexion brightening lipsticks.
Anyways I didn’t mind too much, as Tarte is one of my favorite brands. Also the box this month was super cute and great for storage and keepsakes.
Anyways onto the contents of the box:
- Tarte complexion brightening lipstick in Med/Tan .12oz $14.50
- Sparitual nail polish in HiJinks Shimmer .5oz $12
- C. Booth Honey and Almond dry oil mist 2oz $4 value ($8 for 4oz)
- Oscar de la Renta fragrance samples in drawstring pouch (super cute and seems high value, cannot determine sizes so no value assigned)
- Philip B light-weight deep conditioning creme rinse 2oz $5.62 value ($90 for 32 oz)
Its only the middle of January and my recent polish and makeup purchases have been scaring me. I have spent more on make up the past two months than I had ever intended on. To try and justify some of this obsessive behavior I will try to blog more and be more productive on here… posts coming soon!!
Its been about two weeks since my wedding, and my schedule has finally started to get back to normal. I plan on posting more soon and hopefully more frequent and substantial posts and also a wedding recap of course!!
Over the weekend I went to Michael’s and purchased a border punch. This caught my eye at the store since I have always enjoyed crafts and this was the perfect time for me to buy this! I thought this would be perfect for making cards for table numbers since my fiance did not like my framed table numbers idea. I was originally planning on making table numbers with the fancy borders on a wired photo holder or stand but both my fiance and my mother vetoed this and want folded table numbers instead.
I haven’t been able to put down the punch since I’ve opened it and I made a few simple samples of possible table numbers. This is a VERY rough draft, which is why the numbers are written with a sharpie instead of printed out from the computer which is what I plan on doing for my actual ones. My favorite of these four are definitely the white one in the front. I like that all the borders are punched out and and looks fancy, however this is the one that is hardest to make and also the weakest. Since the top is also punched out and patterned, the card is very weak. Card #13 is probably the most likely choice of there four trials though. I also would prefer a taller card, but love how these square cards look so dainty and symmetrical. Luckily I still have a few months to decide and finalize my plans.. And also to practice my punching. As you can see from the white card in front, I have some trouble lining up the design.
Let’s start with a little introduction. I am a dog loving, coffee and bubble tea addict in her twenties living in New York. I am also a skincare and make up junkie who relaxes by painting her nails. I have been obsessed with nail polish since I got engaged. Gotta have gorgeous nails to match the finger jewelry! I do my nails about twice a week but have not been able to polish as quickly as I can buy them. As a result I have drawers of untried colors. While I will wear new and current colors, I will also jog your memory with colors that you have have forgotten. Along the way I will also share with ever my food adventures and wedding planning progress.
