L’occitane Spring Happy Hour "Event"

Today I went to an “event” at L’occitane SoHo.  The reason that event is in quotes is that it was marketed as an event but was actually far from that.

Gilt City sold sixty dollar tickets for an Spring Happy Hour event at L’occitane locations throughout NYC.  The event was from 6 to 8 and includes drinks, food, a gift bag of products and a sixty dollar shopping voucher.  Mun and I have been having a rough time at work and decided to go with a couple of our friends to relax and treat ourselves a bit.  Mun is transferring to a different department next week at work and we’ve been taking it really hard.

We arrived to the store at around 630 and the store was almost empty.  Yea the SoHo location is pretty small but all that came to the “event” was just two other customers other than our party of four?  Event was too generous of a term for what was in the store.  The cocktails were a drink dispenser with a prosecco concoction and the food was some chocolate covered cookies and some almonds.

So we just walked circles around the store figuring out what to buy with our product vouchers.  I picked up two body products and a promotional product baggie that was for $18 if you spent over $45.  Also the giftbag that was offered as part of the event was actually a gift with purchase that was available for all customers.  Today was not an event but just some quality time with me and some friends that I haven’t had the chance to catch up with since the wedding.

Today’s bounty included L’occitane’s verbena body sorbet, almond body oil, mini almond purchase with purchase and gwp/gift bag of facial products and hand and foot creams.
I really need to stop spending but Mun and I are in horrible moods and just keep shopping to distract ourselves.  Also I received notice that my NewBeauty Test Tube just arrived and that domestic delivery of my Gmarket order is complete.
